Most common D9384 code reviews : HbA1c in-office, point-of-service testing - not covered, Removal of implant; superficial (e.g., buried wire, pin, or rod) (Separate procedure) or Accession of tissue, gross and microscopic examination, preparation and transmission of written report.

D9384 Procedures:

Non-autogenous connective tissue graft procedure (including recipient surgical site and donor material) - each additional contiguous tooth, implant or edentulous tooth position in same graft site. Local anesthesia is usually considered a component part of periodontal procedures, but dependent upon the plan will allow up to 50% of D9384 - allow up to a maximum of 3 teeth per quadrant

Re-cement or re-bond inlay, onlay, veneer or partial coverage restoration

Pin retention-per tooth, in addition to restoration is a benefit, once per tooth, when necessary on permanent tooth and when completed at the same appointment as the restoration. Additional pins on the same tooth are Disallowed as a component of the initial pin placement. The fee for pin retention when billed In Conjunction With a buildup is Disallowed as a component of the buildup procedure.
